Obituary

Stacey Ann King (née Gallo), aged 50, ascended as an angel, held and surrounded by
family, on July 18, 2021. Stacey was born in Hoboken, NJ and grew up in Weehawken, NJ,
making her a lifelong Jets fan—don’t hold it against her. She was a devoted daughter to her
parents John “Jack” Gallo Jr. and Sharon Judith Gallo; she absolutely adored her brothers Scott
Gallo and Dennis Gallo.
Stacey thrived in fast-paced environments and was always on the go. She held her degrees
in Accounting and spent 17 years as the Business Director for Greenberg Traurig in Orlando, FL
and 5 years as the Firm Administrator for the The Solomon Law Group in Tampa. She had also
just begun a new challenge at Alvarez,Winthrop, Thompson, & Storey in Orlando. In Stacey’s
own words, “ [I have] uncompromising integrity...and have the ability to effectively manage
change.” She undoubtedly changed this world and so, so many people’s lives for the better.
For Stacey #familyiseverything. Her gorgeous and driven daughter, Sabrina Marie Barve,
was born August 17, 1995 and the two were the best of friends from that moment on. One
morning in the hustle and bustle Starbucks rush Stacey met Alan Vincent King Sr. She told him
that her name was “Sunshine,” and the rest is history. Stacey and Alan were married August 31,
2013 on Indian Rocks Beach—and yes, Stacey planned the entire wedding herself! The beach
was Stacey’s happy place. Alan’s three children became her own: Jessica Ray King, Alan
Vincent King Jr., and Stephen Christian King (no, not the author, but he will still give you an
autograph for a price). Stacey also cherished her niece, Kristen Gallo, and nephew, Anthony
Gallo who served as flower girl and ring bearer at her wedding, respectively.
The love and light of her life, her grandson Elijah Pierce Barve, came to her on February 8,
2017 and she was officially dubbed GiGi. Stacey’s world revolved around her beloved grandson,
showering him with toys and memories of playground trips, fruit and flower picking, petting zoos,
Seaworld Adventures, LegoLand journeys, his very first NASCAR race, his first trip to Disney,
and holidays and parties planned personally and exceptionally. She loved him to the moon and
back.
Stacey loved to travel, whether it be a Caribbean cruise or hopping on a flight to catch a
NASCAR race at a new track. She will continue with us on our globe trotting (we’re still island
hopping in Greece!) and motorhome road trips to the speedways left on her list! She was known
to stop on dime to pull over and take a picture of a particularly beautiful sunset. Gigi certainly
had a sweet tooth and we all gained a number of pounds every holiday with her Italian cookies,
killer brownies, cakes, and assorted treats! She was known to enjoy Coquitos, Mudslides, and
Bailey’s on the Rocks. She loved dogs and shared her life with her two Shelties, Ginger and
Cocoa, a Papillion named Peanut, a Pug named Bella, a Pomeranian named PJ, another Pug
named Oliver, and her Border Collie fur grand-baby Ronan.
Stacey was preceded in death by her grandfather John Gallo Sr. and her grandmother Marie
Gallo, her guardian angel, who welcomed her home. She is survived by her husband Alan Sr.,
her daughter, Sabrina, her grandson Elijah, her daughter Jessica, her sons Alan Jr. and
Stephen, her parents, Jack (John Jr.) and Sharon, her brothers, Scott and Dennis, her sister in
law Danielle, her niece Kristen, her nephew Anthony, her Uncle Steve and Aunt Liz, her Aunt
Patty (late husband Uncle Ray),her Uncle Greg (late wife Aunt Jennifer), her Uncle Ricky and
Aunt Marialyn Lenz, many more Gallo and King nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as
countless friends and colleagues.
Don’t be late to the dance floor, as Stacey time and time again pronounced, “life is too short.”
There are so many celebrations remaining and she will still be with us for them all. You are
sunshine Stacey. Two words...
A celebration of life will be held in honor of Stacey at a later date yet to be determined, we
hope to see you there!
