Elizabeth “Lee” Dupre, 95, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Friday July 16, 2021 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.  She was born in Portland on February 21, 1926 a daughter of the late Philip and Louise (Dorenzo) Tirrabassi.  She graduated from Portland high School and Westbrook Jr. College.

 

She moved to Sanford after marrying Roland Dupre.  She was employed by the Employment Office and then Huff’s Florist as a floral designer and bookkeeper for 15 years.  After retirement she continued working as a manager at Annie Dakota’s Clothing Store in York Beach.  She and Roland enjoyed staying in their camper in York Beach at Flagg’s RV Resort.  They also enjoyed square dancing and playing golf. 

 

She was a 65 year member of the Daughters of Isabella and served as a selectwoman in Sanford from 2001 to 2003.

 

Her greatest pleasure was spending time with the whole family going to the beach, playing cards and family outings.  She lived her life to the fullest.

 

She is predeceased by her husband.

 

She is survived by two daughters and one son in law.

 

Per her wishes services will be private.  She will be buried at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.
