DIANNE J. LILES

Dianne J. Liles, 79, of West Carrollton, passed away at 10:42 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Oak Creek Terrace Nursing Home. She was born February 9, 1942 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Vernon and Edna (Brenneman) Swartz. She married James R. Liles May 1, 1965 in Piqua and he preceded her in death January 22, 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Beth Liles of West Carrollton; two sons, Steven Liles of Kentucky, John Liles of Dayton; three grandchildren, Andrew, Glenna, and Ashlee; two great grandchildren, Colin and Trent; a sister, Marjorie Paulson of Oklahoma; a brother, Steve Swartz of West Liberty; and her beloved pets, Charlie the pig and Gunner the dog; also many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Liles worked as an LPN for Upper Valley Medical Center (then Dettmer Hospital) for 40 plus years and worked for Fidelity Healthcare following that. She liked to work in her garden, planting and admiring the flowers she worked hard to grow. She loved to travel, and loved going to the ocean for vacation almost every year. Dianne had pets for most of her life and was a true animal lover. She loved to cook, and her family cherished the time spent with her in the kitchen learning her wonderful recipes. Dianne had a zest for life that was evident to all that met her, and she would never leave the house without a fresh application of lipstick. Above all, Dianne adored her family, and she will truly be missed.

A service to honor her life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Miami Memorial Park privately at the convenience of the family.
