<p>Donald Edward Magnuson, 94, of Esko passed away on July 18, 2021 at Barnes Care.</p> <p>Don was born in Little Falls, MN to Nels and Anna Magnuson on March 8, 1927. He graduated from Denfeld High School and then joined the Coast Guard. He met Diane Holzmer at the Duluth Boat Club on Park Point and they were married on April 3, 1948. Don was a Millwright at Superwood and Superior Fiber Products for most of his working years and retired in 1989.</p> <p>Don was caring, positive, supportive, generous and funny, with endless patience and integrity. He loved his family very much.</p> <p>Don was preceded in death by his wife, Diane; oldest daughter, Susan Tiessen; son-in-laws, Ray Tiessen and Robert Kjerstad; and brothers, Erling and David.</p> <p>Don is survived by his children, Polly (Keith) Cannon, Becky Magnuson-Kjerstad, Wendy Magnuson (Russ Haupert), Ross (Tami) and Scott; grandchildren, Jessica (Emiliano) Allen, Chancey Tiessen, Jill (Ryan) Gustafson, Janelle (Brian) Hennen, Sherry (Rich) Orrison, Aaron Haupert, Austin Magnuson (Becca Kuechle), Andi Magnuson, Collin Magnuson and Lauren Magnuson; and 12 great-grandchildren.</p> <p>Visitation to be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, with Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 pm. Interment next to his wife at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.</p>

Donald Edward Magnuson, 94, of Esko passed away on July 18, 2021 at Barnes Care.
