     IOTA- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Helen LeJeune Patin announces her passing on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in the comfort of her home at the age of 94. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Friday, July 23, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iota. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Caleb Sons, officiating.

    Helen was a homemaker and devoted herself to the care of her family. She will be missed dearly by all, especially her daughter, Brenda Abshire and husband, Jessie of Houston, TX; step-daughter, Delia Cart of Iota; daughter in law, Charlene Patin of Richard; sisters, Beulah Berry of Gary, IN and Anna Ardoin of Eunice; her grandchildren, Justin Patin, Crystal Manuel, Brandon Patin, Michael Eudy, Shane Abshire, and Katrice Abshire; step-grandchildren, Kerry Miller, Donnie Cart, and Paula Thibodeaux; several great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

     She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Patin; parents, Noah and Laura Young LeJeune; sons, David Patin and Melvin Eudy; brothers, Elroy LeJeune, Ray “Tee” LeJeune, and Martin “Perry” LeJeune; and sister, Esther LeJeune.

     At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Thursday, July 22nd from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, July 23rd from 8am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Thursday.
