<div>When someone you Jove becomes a memory,&nbsp;that memory becomes a treasure.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Guy Rivers, a lifelong Trentonian, was born on October 3D, 1957 to his parents, the&nbsp;late William Rivers and Mary P. Rivers. He lived a life of dependency and wel&shy;comed all with his recognizable walk, signature smile and a hearty soul. For 63&nbsp;years, the Almighty, graced us with his cool demeanor until he was called home on&nbsp;July 15, 2021 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Guy was predeceased in death by his Grandparents Robert Drumgold and Isabelle&nbsp;Patillo-Drumgold, Aunt Clara P. Smith, Uncle Ronald (Ronnie) Smith, Sisters Debra&nbsp;and Dorita (Donnie) Rivers, Nephews Yahya Abdullah and Toby (Amin) Rivers.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>He is survived by his Siblings Arninah (Lois) Abdullah, William, Randolph (Randy)&nbsp;and Valerie Rivers, all of Trenton, NJ, an AuntJanie Lynch of Dallas, Texas and an&nbsp;abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends near and dear to his heart.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Educated in the Trenton Public School System, Guy graduated from Trenton Cen&shy;tral High School and he was a graduate of Mercer County Community College. He&nbsp;had worked as a substitute teacher in the Trenton school district and was a previous&nbsp;employee at Princeton Medical Center in Princeton, NJ. His last place of employ&shy;ment was at the Reading Senior Citizen in Trenton, NJ. He didn&#39;t have a particular&nbsp;church home, however, he knew and he had a personal relationship with the Lord&nbsp;he served. He liked to attend Shiloh Baptist and Union Baptist Churches.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>The one and only, Guy Rivers was well-known throughout Lincoln Homes, The&nbsp;Section, Divine-Land and could be seen chatting it up near his West-side home. An&nbsp;all-around sports fanatic and although talented in baseball and football, basketball&nbsp;was his hype! &quot;You Want The High? You Got The High!&quot; Not only was Guy Rivers&nbsp;a TCHS Class &quot;76&quot; alumni, he also was recognized as one of many, of The High&#39;s&nbsp;great basketball players, as he could gracefully dominate the courts as an intense&nbsp;defensive and offensive player.&nbsp;</div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p> Funeral service will be 1pm Monday, July 26, 2021 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618.  Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be private.</p>

Guy Rivers, a lifelong Trentonian, was born on October 3D, 1957 to his parents, the late William Rivers and Mary P. Rivers. He lived a life of dependency and wel­comed all with his recognizable walk, signature smile and a hearty soul. For 63 years, the Almighty, graced us with his cool demeanor until he was called home on July 15, 2021 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. 
 
Guy was predeceased in death by his Grandparents Robert Drumgold and Isabelle Patillo-Drumgold, Aunt Clara P. Smith, Uncle Ronald (Ronnie) Smith, Sisters Debra and Dorita (Donnie) Rivers, Nephews Yahya Abdullah and Toby (Amin) Rivers.
