Richard Arville Brady Obituary

Richard Arville Brady went home to be with his wife of 66 years and his most beloved grandson on Sunday, July 18, 2021.  Richard was born on February 15, 1932, in Cocke County, Tennessee.  Richard was a member of the United States Air Force and served his country during the Korean War.  Once Richard returned home, he went to work for 38 years and retired from American Enka/BASF/Lenzing Fibers.  Richard especially loved watching his grandson grow and being an integral part of his life. Richard enjoyed his life, especially growing his garden and tending his bees. 

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Delie Brady, his brother, Elbert Brady, and his sister, Wanda Brady, his wife of 66 years, Virginia Cleo (Winstead) Brady, and, his most beloved grandson, Samuel Mackenzie Brady.

Richard is survived by his son, Richard Samuel Brady, and his daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Muffy) Brady, his sister, Ruby Brady Holt, and brothers, Joe Brady and Larry Brady.  

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Allen Funeral Home, with the funeral to immediately follow with Pastor Josh Moore.  Burial will be at Hamblen Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Josh Moore officiating.
