Patricia E. Appleby, age 78, of Alberdeen Road, Mountaintop died at 11:02 a. m. Sunday July 18, 2021 at the Geisinger-Wilkes Barre Hospital after an illness.

Born in Nanticoke on May 9, 1943, she resided in Shickshinny prior to moving to Mountaintop in 2013.

Patricia last worked for the Luzerne County Bureau of Aging and prior to that at the former Country Cousins shoe factory in Mocanaqua.

She loved her church, Calvary United Methodist in West Nanticoke, and her church family. Her passions were gardening, attending plays and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Appleby, on May 30, 2011.

Patricia is survived by her son, Robert L. Appleby, Jr., and his wife Michelle of Shickshinny (Huntington Mills) and her daughter, Loria Ann Brink, Exeter; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a sister, Joan Vincent of Hunlock Creek.

At her request there will be no services or viewing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bloomsburg.
