Vicki Hale Wrenn

Vicki Hale Wrenn, age 72, passed away July 19th, 2021 at her home in Indian Land, South Carolina after a year-long battle with breast cancer. She was born August 21st, 1948 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina to Joseph and Edna Hale. Vicki married Bob Wrenn on May 26th, 1968, and they were happily married for 53 years. Vicki loved to love on people. She worked for many years as the Director of Community Relations at WRIC-TV in Richmond, Virginia. She also had a strong faith in God. She was actively involved in the Episcopal Church wherever she lived. In 2010, she started her favorite role, as “Gigi” to her granddaughter, Emma. She and her husband moved to South Carolina to be closer to Emma in 2014. They quickly became involved in their Sun City neighborhood. She often shared with others in need, baking blueberry muffins for neighbors and friends. Vicki is survived by her husband, Bob, her daughter and husband Lori and Philip Huff, as well as her granddaughter Emma. A celebration of Vicki’s life will be held Saturday, July 24th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Waxhaw, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
