Robert Charles Cox (50) left his earthly struggles behind on July 7th, 2021. Robert was born on May 12th, 1971 to Gerald and Barbara Cox (Henninger). He worked for various employers over his life. He attended Western Technical College and received diplomas in Basic Industrial Power and Production Welding. Growing up Robert loved to go fishing with his brother and Grandpa, playing cards with his Grandma Rose, playing video games at Fridays Arcade, hanging out with friends, and going exploring on the bluffs. He loved to be outdoors. He would spend his time outdoors catching snakes, crawfish, frogs, turtles, and bugs. He taught his sons the love of snakes and other critters. Robert married Sara (Jaekel) and they had 2 sons together, Robert and Anthony. They later divorced. He had a third son, Zayden, and raised him for his first 2 years. Robert tried very hard to be the best dad that he could be to his children. He loved his children with all of his heart. He had a lifelong struggle with addiction. He was caring, loving, inquisitive, a thoughtful man that eventually lost the battle. He was someone that would help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed. Robert is survived by his brother Gerard (Rochelle) Cox, daughter Amber Bartlett, sons Robert, Anthony and Zayden Cox. Nieces Lindsey, Mackenzie, and Brianna Cox. He was proceeded in death by his great Grandmother Rose Henninger, Grandparents Robert and Beverlye Henninger, mother Barbara Cox, and father Gerald Cox. There will be a family burial at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park in La Crosse. Condolences can be sent to Dickinson Funeral Home 1425 Jackson Street La Crosse, WI 54601.
