Michael Paul Messick, 56, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on July 18, 2021. Born in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of Luther “Spike” Messick and Margaret Messick. A manager at the shipyard, he was devoted to his family and a consummate outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was a proud member of the NRA, a wildlife enthusiast, and photographer. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his daughter, Madison Messick and fiancée Jonathan Orvis; ex-wife, Julie Bobka; brother, Patrick Messick; step-sister, Debbie; niece, Briley Messick; nephew, Luther “Spikey” Messick; aunt, Paulette Briley; uncle, Thomas Briley; numerous cousins and friends, and two close long term friends, Mark Wood and Robert Marshall.
