Freda Marie Murray of Binghamton, New York ( formerly of Conklin, New York) passed away peacefully after a short illness on July 18, 2021. Freda was predeceased by her daughter Colleen Marie Murray, her husband, Donald Leon Murray, her parents, Mervin B. Keefer and Mable Noonan: her siblings: Ralph Keefer and wife Carol Keefer, Barbara Rohmann, Rosalee Warren, Marilyn Trickey and husband  Robert, Sandra Judd; brother-in-law Robert Fuller;  her son-in-law Kevin Schlosser and nephews William and Troy Rohmann.

Freda was the loving mother of three children, Susan Murray (James Harris ) of Candor, NY; Linda Schlosser (Kevin ) of Stoddard, NH and Mark Murray (Nancy) of Bedford, NH. Freda leaves behind her siblings whom she adored: James Keefer (Jean) Richard Keefer (Joanne) both of Pahrump, Nevada,  Wayne Keefer (Bev ) of  Endicott and Cheryl Golden (Jerry Golden) of Binghamton ;  She was also blessed with her loving and supportive inlaws on Donald Murray's side: Sister-in-laws; Fran Murray Rathmell (Bill), Marion Murray Chapman and Pat Murray Fuller; Grandchildren from her children, Roy Huntley ( Heather Kelsey), Kevin Huntley (Mackenzie Wilson), Jeffrey Murray, Scott Schlosser, Erin Murray, Colleen Murray and Chelsea Duerr (Michael Duerr). Freda is survived by her great grandchildren Brittney Huntley, Matthew Huntley, Brooklyn Huntley, Nikki Huntley, Alex Deitzen, Gabriella Huntley, Emalyn Huntley and Chloe Duerr.

Freda lived in Conklin, NY for most of her life. After the death of her husband she took up residence at Woodburn Court in Binghamton enjoying the socialization of her friends and neighbors. The last four years she has resided at  East Hills in Binghamton, NY.

She graduated proudly with an Associate's degree from Brome Community College in Accounting and worked for many years at Broome County Audit & Control. In her free time Freda was an avid participant in local politics and loved volunteering for activities with the Citizens Action Group. She enjoyed outings with her dear friend, Patricia Donohue, loved taking bus trips just anywhere and enjoyed a day out at the casinos with anyone that would join her.

Special thanks to all her wonderful family that were always ready to help Mom in her last days. Thank-you to all of her Lourdes Hospital nurses and staff and to Theresa from Lourdes Hospice and their staff and volunteers.

The family will receive  friends Thursday July 29th, from 11am to 1pm at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home on 483 Chenango Street. No funeral will follow but all who shared special memories throughout her life are welcome to come share with us in a Celebration of HER Life . Good food, drink and companionship will be had at the American Legion Post 1645, 177 Robinson Street, Binghamton NY from 2pm to 6pm.
