Mr. Roy Lee Crunkleton, 82, of Hartwell, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 at NHC Healthcare of Anderson. Born on February 9, 1939, in Carnesville GA, he was the son of the late Herbert Crunkleton and Mae Belle Segars Crunkleton. Mr. Crunkleton graduated Barber School in Atlanta GA and started his working years as a Barber, then he became a self-employed Painter, then finished his working years in construction and building maintenance. He also was a member of the Hartwell Church of God, where he had served on several various committees. Survivors include his wife: June Chitwood Crunkleton; a son: Richard Crunkleton (Lisa) of Stantonsburg NC; a daughter: Kristie C. Cole (Charles) of Anderson SC; two grandchildren: Katlyn Crunkleton and Logan Crunkleton; a brother: Buren Crunkleton of Toccoa and a sister: Janelle Hart of Toccoa also survives. Mr. Crunkleton was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Buford Crunkleton and Bethel Crunkleton and two sisters: Geneva Westmoreland and Jenenne Yearwood. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home. Funeral services for Mr. Roy Crunkleton will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jerry Chitwood and Rev. Wayne Durden officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to the Hartwell Church of God, 120 Race Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
