John L. Sanford, age 88, of Winfield, IL, passed away at Bria Nursing Home on July 18, 2021. John was born on October 29, 1932. The son of Floyd and Marjorie Sanford. Throughout his life John worked at many car dealerships the last being Jeep Eagle in Schaumburg, IL. He also was proud of working as a chef at the The Hideaway Restaurant, Ricks and Brown Barn. In his free time John loved spending time at the VFW and singing in his church choir. He will be remembered as being a jokester and never too serious. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Shirley Machong and Evelyn Villwalk; and dog Petey. John is survived by his wife Janet Whitfield.
