Rose Hall aka Rosie Mello, 71 of Chico, California passed away on October 10, 2011 at a care facility in Chico. She was born on October 19, 1939 in San Francisco, California to Joseph and Ramona Mello. Rose used her maiden name as her stage name, "Rosie Mello" is how she was known to her many fans. She appeared on the Moriss Taylor television show for more than 50 years in the Chico area and was always very popular. She was hired by Moriss Taylor as one of his primary "girl" singers at the tender age of 13. The Moriss Taylor show now appears on UPN-21 every Saturday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Most shows feature two or three country numbers from Rosie. She also sang with a Chico band, The Fabulous Swing Kings. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a grandson. In keeping with Rose's wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered at sea off the coast of Fort Bragg, California.
