<p>Juanita completed her journey to Heaven on Monday, July 19, 2021, joining her Savior Jesus Christ, many family members and friends, while in the presence of her two daughters and under the care of the staff at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.&nbsp;</p> <p>Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, James Burns; her parents, Edith and Henry Showerman; brother, Lavern Showerman and grandson, Travis MacGuinness.&nbsp;</p> <p>She is survived by her two daughters, Cindi Blaugh (Denny) and Connie MacGuinness (Michael); grandchildren, Jason MacGuinness (Katie), Sarah Owens (Steve), Angela Blaugh (Chuck), Scott Blaugh and Katie Salsbury; her great-grandchildren, Savannah, Jayden, Sami, Jameson, Ivy, Sage and Charlie; many nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Juanita retired from working after many years with Kmart on East Michigan Avenue.&nbsp; She enjoyed visiting the casino, going on cruises, loved shopping, loved her pets and mostly spending time with her family.&nbsp;</p> <p>Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Jackson Free Methodist Church, 2829 Park Drive, Jackson, MI&nbsp; 49203.&nbsp; A Memorial Service to honor her life will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Jason Engle officiating.</p> <p>The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of the Jackson County Medical Care Facility for their wonderful, attentive care and to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice for their compassionate care.&nbsp; Contributions in Juanita&rsquo;s memory may be given to the Cascades Humane Society, 1515 Carmen Dr., Jackson, MI&nbsp; 49202.</p>

Obituary

Juanita completed her journey to Heaven on Monday, July 19, 2021, joining her Savior Jesus Christ, many family members and friends, while in the presence of her two daughters and under the care of the staff at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. 

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, James Burns; her parents, Edith and Henry Showerman; brother, Lavern Showerman and grandson, Travis MacGuinness.
