<p>Thomas Lee Steffenhagen, 41, of Rochester, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Mayo Clinic - St. Mary&rsquo;s Hospital in Rochester.</p> <p>He was born March 14, 1980 in Red Wing to David and Donna (Gauger) Steffenhagen. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1998. In his younger years, he worked for the Red Wing Shoe Company and Treasure Island Resort and Casino. For the past 22 years he has worked for Pappas family at Michael&rsquo;s Restaurant and Pappy&rsquo;s Place in Rochester. He loved cooking, particularly spicy dishes. He enjoyed staying busy outdoors, going to the farm, four-wheeling, taking out the Gator, and target shooting. Most of all, he loved hanging out with his dog, Chewy.</p> <p>He is survived by his mother, Donna (John Gintner) Steffenhagen; brother, Paul Steffenhagen; sister, Krista (Steve Ciccone) Steffenhagen; nephews and niece; Myles, Vincent, Clark and Adi; as well as other family and friends.</p> <p>He is preceded in death by his father, David; and his grandparents.</p> <p>A memorial service will be 12 p.m. (noon) Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home , Bodelson Chapel, in Red Wing,&nbsp;with Tim Ciccone officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Frontenac Cemetery.
