Melissa Ann (Garcia) Wick of Haymarket, Virginia, formerly of Saginaw Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. She was 44 years old. Melissa Ann was born on August 17, 1976, in Saginaw, Michigan to Ruben and Gloria (Gallegos) Garcia. She was a Proud 1994 graduate of Bridgeport High School. She met the love of her life, Brian C. Wick, they dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on April 4, 1997, in Saginaw, Michigan; he survives her. She worked and served as a government contractor for over 15 years, following her dedicated work in the medical field. Melissa enjoyed music and dancing, while also coaching girls little league softball, providing meals for her community, and supporting our troops and their families. She also enjoyed being a football mom, graciously taking players into her home for events, transporting them to their games, and providing food as well as encouragement over the years. She will forever be remembered for her crazy sense of humor, selflessness, caring for those serving in the military, and the love she had for her husband, children, and family. Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Brian C. Wick; two children: Daniel Garcia of Shepherd, MI; Analysia Wick of Phoenix, AZ; her beloved dog, Rocky; parents, Ruben and Gloria Garcia of Saginaw; two sisters and two brothers: Laurie Gallegos of Saginaw; Michael Perez of Saginaw; Cindy (Richard) Berlin of Onondaga; Ruben (Jennifer) Garcia of Saginaw, best friend, Crista Schambeck of Saginaw; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Esther Gallegos, Ray and Mary Garcia. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
