Meta passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, in an automobile accident near Tallulah. She was born January 8, 1957, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Kirk Romine and Meta Berkeley Shackleford Morley.

Meta is preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her brother, Kirk S. Morley of Tallulah, Louisiana.

Meta is fondly remembered for being the Tallulah High School Trojan mascot. She would put on her "Trojan armor" for every football game and ride her horse around the football field every time the Trojans scored a touchdown. She had a great love for animals and cared for all the strays that came her way. Meta leaves us with quiet smiles and precious memories in those little private corners of our lives where she alone inspired our friendships and ignited so many joyous memories.
