Louise Marie Anna LeBlanc Obituary

LEBLANC, Louise Marie Anna, 66, of Petit de Grat.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Marie Anna LeBlanc of Petit de Grat that passed away on July 19, 2021. Born in West Arichat, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Napoleon and Marie Alfreda (Babin) LeBlanc. Louise was a beloved elementary school teacher both locally, as well as in Peace River Alberta, dedicating her life to teaching French immersion to children. Louise was also a passionate gardener, heading the Isle Madame Garden Club for multiple years. She would happily spend hours talking about plants and vegetables. A devoted believer of the TOPS program, she lead the local chapter, sharing her wisdom and journey with others interested in the healthy lifestyle journey. Louise was an avid walker, and had completed many 5K walks in the last decade of her life. For many years Louise was involved in the Guiding movement, volunteering with the Sparks, and letting her creativity flow for the benefit of all involved. Louise was also a former board member and active fundraising volunteer of HEARTS of Isle Madame. Her love of crafting also allowed her to give back to the community, as she knit blankets for those undergoing cancer treatments, as well as for the unhoused. Louise had a big heart and great love for those surrounding her. Louise is survived by her daughter Angelle LeBlanc (Trevor Cochrane), Wheatley River, PE; granddaughter Addilyn and grandson Campbell; brothers Raynald (Eileen), Michel (Jennifer), Leon (Sally), Bernard (Nancy), John (Noreen), Daniel (Robin); sister-in-law Nancy Marchand (Marcel). Besides her parents she was predeceased by brother Yves. Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held on July 23, 2021 at 2:00pm in St. Joseph’s Church, Petit de Grat. Burial to follow in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. Memorial donations can be made to the Cancer Care Cape Breton Regional. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat. To send words of comfort to the family or to light a candle in memory of Louise, please visit www.chboudreau.com
