Jeannette M. Santos

Jeannette Marie (Sansoucy) Santos, 80, of Saco, ME passed away Friday, July 16th, 2021 at Maine Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Biddeford to parents Alfred Joseph Sansoucy and Albertha Marie Neault, Jeannette was raised in Biddeford and moved to the Palmer, MA area as a child. Later Jeannette and her daughters moved to Charlton, MA. Following retirement, Jeannette returned to live in her hometown, Biddeford, and in 2011, moved to Saco, ME. As a child, Jeannette attended Palmer Public Schools and furthered her education at Fisher Junior College. Jeannette worked for many years at the Massachusetts Department of Welfare office in Southbridge as a case worker before retiring. She also held numerous administrative positions at area banks, insurance companies, and businesses. In her spare time Jeannette enjoyed reading, bingo, and the casinos, and in recent years had become and avid New England Patriots and Boston Bruins fan. She also enjoyed the time spent with her cousin Frannie and evening walks with her dear friend Peggy. Forever family oriented, Jeannette would always go out of her way to do whatever she was able to do to help a family member. Be it her children, grandchildren, cousins, and even friends, she could always be counted on to do whatever she could to help them out. She will be dearly missed by all she leaves behind. Predeceased by her parents and her grandson Thomas Larson Jr, Jeannette leaves behind daughter Carleen Larson and her husband Thomas of West Boylston, MA; daughter Brenda Pike and her Husband Geoffrey of Auburn, MA; sister Claire Kay and her husband Richard of Boston, MA; grandchildren Heather Santos of Biddeford, ME, Timothy Pike of Auburn, MA, Courtney Pike of Tulsa, OK, Katelyn Pike and Kristin Pike also of Auburn, MA; great-granddaughter Jamie Marie Santos of Biddeford, ME; niece Rachel Kay of Watertown, MA; nephew Jeffrey Kay of Healdsburg, CA; and great-nephew Adam Kay of Watertown, MA. She also leaves behind numerous treasured cousins and friends. “When someone dies, a hole is left behind. The vastness of that hole is the true measure of a person.” Visiting Hours will 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. on Friday, July 23rd, 2021 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00a.m. on Saturday at St. Mary’s Church in Southbridge, MA. A private burial will be held at a later date.
