Laforest Raulerson Murray

Mrs. Laforest Raulerson Murray, 94, passed away Monday (July 19, 2021) at the Hospice House Satilla following an extended illness. She was born in Pierce County to the late James Seward Raulerson and Irene Carter Raulerson. She was a member of Crawford Street Baptist Church and a homemaker most of her life. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ralph Frank Murray; and four siblings, Buddy Raulerson, Ed Raulerson, Carnell Raulerson, and Latrelle Moore. She is survived by a daughter, Gail M. Mizelle of Statesboro; a son, Ken Murray of Waycross; six grandchildren, Janna DeLoach, Gary Murray (Jeannie), Josh Mizelle, Jordan Mizelle, Eddie Murray (Amy), and Jennifer Murray; six great grandchildren, Katelyn Murray, Waylon Murray, Harlyn Mizelle, Kentlyn Murray, Elly Spivey, and Caden Spivey; three sisters, Joyce Walker of Waycross, Delorise Reed of Winter Park, FL, and Peggy Raulerson of Blackshear; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (July 21, 2021) at Crawford Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at the church on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made in her honor to Crawford Street Baptist Church, 204 S.
