Betty Jeanette Driggers, 87, died Monday, July 19, 2021, at her home. Born November 1, 1933, in Hannah, SC, she was a daughter of the late Junior Jefferson Powell and the late Nina Renee Hannah Powell. She attended the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind in Spartanburg. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Florence and retired from Korn Industries. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Earl (John) of Florence and Barbara Duncan (Craig) of Sumter; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Taylor; four sisters; and five brothers. A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday in the Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind, 355 Cedar Springs Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29302. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
