Enjoyed many work lunches with John over our years at the V.A. His family was his main focus and just hearing about all the sports games his daughters played in was amazing.

We were so saddened to hear of John’s death. He was a great neighbor of ours when our kids were growing up. We have such fond memories of Bancroft Avenue!!

I enjoyed breakfasts at HYEE with John and his dry humor. We did not share a political base. But, that did not stop our comradeship. He was my touch with the VA, Richard Starr
