Wilson Willard Kessler

Wilson Kessler, a long -time resident of Rupert, West Virginia, unexpectedly passed away on July 16, 2021, at the age of 63. Wilson is survived by his wife Sharon K. Kessler of WV. Additionally, he is survived by daughter Katie and husband Carl Chapman of SC, daughter Misty and husband Pete Entzminger of SC, son Eddie and wife Peggy Kessler of WV, daughter Jackie Kessler and Mike Medlin of SC, son Robert and wife Mia Kessler of WV. Adopted children include son Michael and wife Kaitlyn Vance of SC, son Darrel Vance of WV, and son Andrew Ruff of WV. Survivors include his sister Janie and husband Robert Bennett of WV, sister, Betty and husband Charles Bennett of WV, sister Nila and husband Kenneth Smith of IL. He is survived by many beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Also, he cared deeply for Bruce and Bill Bennett. Wilson is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Kessler and mother Opal Kessler, brothers Dallas, Joe, and Dale Kessler, son Wilson Ruff, step-brother Lee Avis, and step-sister, June Avis. Wilson was born in Fayette County, West Virginia, on January 10, 1958 to Lawrence and Opal Kessler. On June 9, 1980 he married the love of his life, Sharon K. Kessler, with whom he just celebrated 41 beautiful years of marriage. Wilson enjoyed spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren. He loved to hunt and fish; he especially enjoyed cooking. He enjoyed watching westerns, listening to country music, and watching Brother Bob. He devoted his life to raising his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 20 at Wallace & Wallace, Rainelle at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until time of service.
