Veronica Anita Carrington Obituary

Veronica Anita Carrington, age 79, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on July 18, 2021 at her home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of John Carl and Mary Veronica (Dobbs) Twele. Veronica received a bachelor’s degree in education from Towson University. She then taught at Harford Technical High School in Bel Air for about five years. Following that, she helped home school children who were unable to return to school physically. For the last 30 years she was office manager for her family’s HVAC business. For many years, Veronica was involved with the Girl Scouts and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She also became a Drum Majorette, fully committing to anything her children were a part of. She enjoyed scrap booking, creating doll houses, making her own homemade Easter candy, and baking cakes for any occasion. She was very passionate about the Blessed Mother. She helped with CCD for many years at St. Ignatius and was very involved in the church. Her children's friends always felt at home when they visited, and Veronica always had the door open for guests. She was always adamant to keep her family close. Veronica had a huge heart and there was no limit to her love for her family. Veronica is survived by her husband Frank Carrington; sister, Beverly DeWeese; two daughters, Denise (Kenny) Hite and Doreen (Billy) Conklin; three sons, David (Joseph Powder) Carrington, Danny Carrington, and John (Kim) Carrington; nephew, John (Debbie) Twele; 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, those who desire may contribute to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
