Joshua David “Hoop” Hooper, 45, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2021, in New Florence, Missouri. Hoop’s family will have a time of visitation, in celebration of his life, on Friday July 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Hoop was born September 9, 1975, in Springfield. He worked as a truck driver for ICON Transportation and was of the Baptist faith. Hoop was a loving father, a loyal best friend, and in his words, “one laid back mofo”. He was preceded in death by his mother: Judith Browning “Judy” Hooper, and by his grandparents: John and Dot Browning, Henry Hudson and Sara Jane Nichols Hooper.

Hoop is survived by his children: Jonathon Hall of Corinth, MS, Leslie Hooper of Cedar Hill, and Austin Burgess of Lebanon, by his father: Raymond Hooper of Cedar Hill, by his brother: John Hooper of Cedar Hill, and by 3 grandchildren.
