Angels escorted Jeanette Elaine Bevill of Salinas, California to her eternal home on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 while visiting family in Sheridan, Wyoming after a short illness. On the day of her passing, she rejoiced, “Seven, seven. I’m going to Heaven! Meet me there!” Jeanette was the daughter of Elmer Ernest and Willie Mae Stacey. She was born in Leachville, Arkansas on July 28, 1935. The family moved to Salinas, California and Jeanette attended Salinas High School. She met and married a Navy man, Herbert Lee Bevill from Philadelphia, Missouri, while he was stationed in Monterey, California. They married in July of 1952 and Salinas became their primary residence for the rest of their married life. She was affiliated with many churches through the years, including Community Bible Church of Visalia, California; New Life Assembly of Exeter, California; Christian Fellowship Tabernacle of Spanish Fort, Alabama; and Oak Park Community Church, Echoes from Calvary, and Grace Christian Fellowship, all of Salinas, California. Jeanette was a devoted Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She developed her own business, Bevill Tax Service, which she conducted out of her home for many years. She shared her love for her Savior and her family with her many clients over the years, conveying her deep love for Jesus and for every member of her family. Jeanette is survived by her children: Kevin (son) and Eva Bevill of Raymore, Missouri; Lonny (son) and Ellery Bevill of Albany, Oregon; and Debra “Lynn” (daughter) Grady of Salinas, California. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Kristina and Peter Dech and their children, Eliaura and Mattias of Raymore, Missouri; Kristy and Jose Flores and their children, Natalia and Alessandra of Lee's Summit, Missouri; Lonny II and Staci Bevill and their children, Zoe, Dawson, and Lonny III of St. Helens, Oregon; Kandi and Jonathan Broersma and their children, Lucy, Alice, Theodore, and Gwen, of Sheridan, Wyoming; Justina and Lawrence Burgett and their children, of Spanish Fort, Alabama; Kelly and Adam McGuffie and their children, Declan and Maeve of Newberg, Oregon; and Janey Bevill of Newport, Oregon. Also surviving is her brother Jerry and Mary Stacey of Exeter, California, sister Sandra Kneeland, brothers Russel, James, and Brian Ballinger, and many nieces and nephews and cherished friends. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, in 2011 after 59 years of marriage; their son, Martin (Marty) Eugene Bevill, in 1961; her sister Mary Lois; and her brothers Wayne, Ted, and Ronnie Stacey. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 1 - 5 p.m. at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. in the Healey Mortuary Chapel on July 22, 2021. Burial will follow at the Castroville District Cemetery 8442 Moss Landing Rd. Moss Landing, CA 9503
