Funeral services for Evelyn Dahlgren of Roseau, MN will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church in Roseau.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with interment at Bethel-Stafford Cemetery in Roseau.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the AWANA Program at First Baptist Church in Roseau.

Evelyn Marie Dahlgren passed away at LifeCare Roseau Manor on July 14, 2021, at the age of 99.

Evelyn was born in Roseau, MN on May 3, 1922 to Charles and Selma (Nelson) Skoglund. She grew up in the Stafford area and attended the country school in Stafford.

She and Russell Dahlgren were united in marriage on November 29, 1947. They had two children; Karen and Karolyn.

Evelyn loved life on their farm in Stafford. She especially enjoyed gardening and baking, which she shared generously with others. She will be remembered for her kindness, her amazing memory, her love of music, the gift of family, and most importantly, her love for Jesus.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Karen (Dennis) Muetzel of Thief River Falls, MN and Karolyn (Tom) Watson of Frazee, MN; six grandchildren, Shoan Nelson, Aron (Sarah) Muetzel, Heather (Ryan) Boe, Kristen (Brian) Moran, Karah (Mike) Jacobson, Kelsey (Amos) Mosher; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Darrell Skoglund of Bemidji, MN; sister-in-law Maxine Skoglund of Roseau; uncle Clayton Erickson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Russell in 1995; an infant sister; and brothers Luverne and Merrill.
