Rosita Ancheta Fry Colorado Springs, Colorado Obituary

Rosita Ancheta Fry

Rosita Ancheta Fry, 79, passed away at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 11, 2021. Rosie was born on the picturesque islands of Hawaii on March 14, 1942. She was married to William Ted Fry on August 6, 1960, until his death on December 3, 1983. She had many talents with an artistic eye and a particular passion for cake decorating, painting, cooking, and sewing. Rosita joyfully extended her talents in many years of service to the church, including cooking meals for church events, teaching cooking classes for the teens, serving in the nursery and serving as a greeter. Her eyes lit up when she talked about the fish she reeled in, her latest slot winnings, and her harvest from her garden. She never passed up an opportunity to care for a new orchid flower. She is survived by her sister, Mary Canoy of Honolulu, Hawaii; son, Walter Fry and wife, Brenda of Driftwood, Texas; daughter, Laura Childress and husband, Jim of Katy, Texas; and daughter, Jennifer Orantes of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren: Danielle Fry-Casias and husband, Zach of Pueblo, Colorado; Mason Mercer and wife, Sasha Flora of Austin, Texas; Katie Mithani and husband, Julian of Houston, Texas; Max Mercer and wife, Breanna of Ft.
