Joseph Link Dorchester, Massachusetts Obituary

Joseph Link

Joseph Link was born on March 3, 1937, to the late Alvin and Mary Link. He grew up in Vance County, North Carolina, where he attended Middle and High School along with his siblings. Joseph was a school bus driver for The Boston Public Schools system for several years, in which he then retired. He has six children who he loved and adored dearly. Joseph loved playing cards and listening to the music on his favorite Sirius XM Station, Soul Town. Everyone called him “Joe,” and he loved spending time with his family, friends, and especially his children. He loved to laugh, dance, and make others laugh. His favorite past times were watching old, black and white films and TV shows. One of his favorites was Gunsmoke and, of course, sports. Even though he watched football, basketball, and professional boxing, Joe’s favorite was baseball. He loved himself some Red Sox! He was a quiet person and lovable. Just make sure you didn’t cross him, for he was a living tornado, especially when it came down to defending his children. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. He adored spending time with his nieces and their children, and he especially loved joking around with his nephews. He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities, and his pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. Joe was called Home to be with The Lord peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2021 in which he lived a full and complete life at the age of 84. He will be truly missed by all and loved. He is survived by his six children, Casandra Littles, Angela Monroe, Jamal Monroe, Leonard Brandon, Michelle Monroe (deceased), Edwin Pasco (deceased), Son-n-law Robert Littles, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and seventeen brothers and sisters. Mary Link Stockdale, Susie (Irene) Link McKnight, Patricia Link, Clotilda Link Kittrell (deceased), Betty Lue Link Turner (deceased), Albert Link (deceased), Julia Link Peace (deceased), Thomas Lee Link (deceased), Jasper Link (deceased), Sydney Link (deceased), Saul Link (deceased), Nettie Link Henderson (deceased), Sterling Link (deceased), George Link (deceased), James Edward Link (deceased), Leonard Link (deceased). Brother-in-law Richard Stockdale, Sister-n-law Bernice Link, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends!
