It is with great sadness that the family of Ina Maude Elizabeth McInerney announce her passing which occurred on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, NB. Born in Smithtown, NB, on April 27, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Witney and Della (Vaughan) Scovil. Ina is survived by her daughter Connie Friars of Sussex, NB; grandchildren: Brenda Clarke (Darrell), Stephen Friars (Christine), David Friars (Kim), Julie Hunter, Randy Crozier (Paula) and Karen Crozier-Sizemore (Larry); great grandchildren: Corey, Megan, Caitlin, Abbey, Bradley, Carly, Scott, Brittany, Hannah and Ryan; several great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Mona Thomas; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ina was predeceased by her children’s father William Crozier, second husband Kenneth McInerney; sons: Jim Crozier (Ann) and Carl Crozier; and son-in-law Bernard Friars. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A celebration of Ina’s life will take place on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 11:00am at Hampton Rural Cemetery, 61 Cemetery Road, Hampton, NB. Donations in memory of Ina may be made to the Kiwanis Nursing Home, St. Mark’s Rebuild Fund or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
