Donald R. Olson, Age 91, Donald passed away peacefully at his summer home in Spread Eagle, Wisconsin on July 7, 2021. He was married for 54 years to Jean (nee Olson), who preceded him in death on January 27, 2008. In addition to his wife, Donald was preceded in death by his grandson Timothy K. Olson and his sister and brothers-in-law June and Earle Gottman and Clifford Malmborg. He is the loving and proud father of Bruce, Dennis, Steven (Laura Lee), David (Michele) and John (Randee). Much loved grandfather of Tina Humpa (Tom), Angela Dlugi, Mindy Elliott (Patrick), Britta Olson-Niziolek (Ed), Andrew (Natasha Langen), Timothy E., Samuel and Shawnna Krusick (Tyler). He is further survived by his nephew Rick Malmborg, 21 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, his dear Cousin Jim Swanson, family friends Jenny Krane and Bill Schlemmer, as well as other close relatives and dear friends. Donald served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was humbled to have been given the opportunity to travel to Washington D. C. on the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight in 2017. Donald had attended Northwestern University and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering. As an Engineer, he worked for Allis Chalmers for many years, which allowed him to travel worldwide during his career. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until the time of service at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at LIVING HOPE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH W156 N4881 Pilgrim Road, Menomonee Falls. Private family interment to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Please note: Because the church is located inside of the Dickson Hollow Senior Living Community, the wearing of masks is mandated by the State of Wisconsin.
