Ruben Rodriguez
Ruben Rodriguez known by many as "Don Ruben" was born August 3,1948 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He unexpectedly passed on Wednesday July 7th, 2021 at the age of 72. Ruben was a jack of all trades. He was a optimistic man who never took defeat. He was always his own boss and made whatever he dreamed a reality for himself and his family. A father figure to many and a great friend to all. A man full of wisdom and a heart of gold, always giving with the little he had. He was such a fun loving and peaceful man, who could illuminate any room he walked into. After being hospitalized for Covid-19 in April 2020 and being on a ventilator for one month, Ruben fought his way back to his family. Though it was a lengthy process from rehabilitation and relearning to speak, walk and independently eat on his own, Ruben excelled through it all. A man who was on the verge of death and doctors losing all hope, he showed that he was fighting little by little to survive. Ruben was a former widower who is survived by his children, grandchildren and new wife. His family will forever miss him as he was taken before his time. He will be remembered in everyone's heart as a hard worker, charismatic, strong willed and Covid-19 survivor. He will deeply be missed by all. Heaven has gained another angel worthy of their wings. We love you Don Ruben forever and always in our hearts. Nuestro viejo te celebramos para siempre papí. I remember when Jessica and I wanted to go to the beach for the summer. Along with Mrs. Rodriguez and Alex, you drove us all the way to VA Beach. You didn't have too, but you did. Also, I will always remember those delicious dishes you cooked. Rest Peacefully Mr. Rodrigu... Continue Reading

I remember how thoughtful he always was! He was always on top of his daughter Eden, making sure she was ok and if needed anything! I remember his delicious empanadas! He was the sweetest, heartwarming and thoughtful man ever!
