Darwin Gallenberg, of Bryant, died Monday, July 12, 2021, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 57 years old. He was born on November 18, 1963, in Antigo, a son of James and Elizabeth (Drexler) Gallenberg. He was a graduate of Antigo High School in 1982. He attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Darwin worked all his life on the family dairy and certified seed potato farm. He was a member of the Wisconsin Seed Potato Improvement Association and the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include three sisters, Janet (Leonard) Fleischman, Antigo, Mary and Jeanne Gallenberg of Rochester, MN; five brothers, Donald (Sue) Gallenberg, Wausau, David Gallenberg, Bryant, DeWayne (Pat) Gallenberg, Rochester, MN, Dale (Pam) Gallenberg, River Falls, Dennis (Kim) Gallenberg, Elk River, MN; 13 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann and Rev. Michael Seis con-celebrating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Bradley Funeral Home and on Friday at the funeral home from 9 to 10 a.m. A parish wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday also at the funeral home.
