<p>Gregory Lee Andersen, 59, of Eldora, passed away at home on July 12, 2021. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Fredsville Lutheran Church in rural Cedar Falls. There will be a masonic service at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Wade Sheeler and the Montague Lodge #117 of Eldora.&nbsp;&nbsp;A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Fredsville Lutheran Church with private burial following the service at the church cemetery.&nbsp;</p> <p>Greg was born the son of Gary &amp; Marcia (Dieken) Andersen on May 22, 1962, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Greg graduated from Dike High School in 1980 and the University of Northern Iowa in 1984 and worked at the Eldora State Training School for 34 1/2 years, retiring in 2019. Greg was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Elmer &amp; Marlys Dieken and paternal grandparents, Erhard &amp; Agnes Andersen, and uncles Ron &amp; Kenny Andersen.</p> <p>Greg is survived by his mother, Marcia Andersen of Cedar Falls, sister Beth (Gary Koenen) of Cedar Falls, brother Mark of Clear Lake, nephew Zach (Heather) Andersen of Dike, great niece and nephew, Blakelee and Noah, who were his pride and joy. Greg is also survived by Aunt Dixie Spain of Parkersburg, Uncle Mike (Karen) Dieken of Dike, Aunt Amy Jensen of Dike and Aunt Diane Burns of Portland, OR, as well as many cousins and friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Gregory Lee Andersen, 59, of Eldora, passed away at home on July 12, 2021.
