Mary Elizabeth Zubot

June 15, 1933 – July 10, 2021

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Mary Zubot on July 10, 2021. Mary was a fantastic Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and will always be lovingly remembered by her children; Alice Gilbeault, Garnet Zubot, Mary Ann (Tom) Dinkel, Arlene (Klaus) Schulz, Rose (Darcy) Hodgson, Connie (Tim) Berlinguette and Sandy (Danny) Nowosad. She will be missed by her 10 grandchildren: Denise Pratchler, Colin Harcourt, Suzie Dinkel, Angie Zazula, Joyce Kerr, Lachelle Jones, Missy Hodgson, Chance Hodgson, Tessay Berlinguette and Ashley Fertig, as well as 20 great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Peter, in 1980 and her son; Robert (Bob) in 2012. She loved the farm and all the aspects of living in the country.  Mary was not afraid of hard work and liked to hunt and berry pick. She was a true homemaker with excellent skills as a cook and a baker, especially her homemade bread and cinnamon buns. She was an outstanding gardener and canned and preserved all that she grew. A private Graveside Service will be held at Saint Scholastica Roman Catholic Cemetery in Burr, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Her family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Doctors and staff at Drayton Valley Long Term Care (Sunflower Lane) for the compassion and care provided. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made directly to: Drayton Valley Health Foundation – Long Term Care, 4550 Madsen Ave., Drayton Valley, Alberta T7A 1N8
