ARLENE L. DANELL July 2, 2021 Graveside funeral services for Arlene Danell, 94 year old Buffalo resident who passed away early Friday morning at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be held at a future date in Holy Cross Cemetery in Billings, Montana. Donations in Arlene’s name may be made to the St. Francis Animal Shelter in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com Arlene Lydia was born on November 29, 1926 in Wabasso, Minnesota to Edmond and Florence Schultz. She grew up and went to school in Wabasso and graduated from Wabasso High School with the class of 1944. After high school she was a telephone operator in St. Paul, Minnesota and later transferred to Havre, Montana as an operator. She was married on July 3, 1948 in Havre, Montana to Vernon A. Danell and they made their home in Havre until 1954 when they moved to Billings where Arlene was a homemaker and Vernon worked for the railroad as a freight rate clerk. Vernon passed away in 1993 and in 1999 she moved to Colstrip, Montana. In 2006 she moved to Buffalo, Wyoming to be near her daughter. She became a resident at the Amie Holt Care Center in 2016 where she continued living until her death. Arlene was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bingo. She is survived by two daughters, Denise Heitler of Buffalo and Darla Davidson and her husband Russ of Billings, Montana; one sister Jeannine Leckbee of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren, Heather, Kathleen and Jennifer and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband one grandson Josh in 2008, one sister and one brother.
