<p><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><span style="font-size:26px;">Ms. Betty Elizabeth McCloud, age 78 of Newville, AL, visitation will be held one hour prior the graveside service on&nbsp;Wednesday, July 14, 2021 12:00 PM at the Center Baptist Church Cemetery in Newville, AL.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><span style="font-size:26px;">On May 4, 1943, Betty Elizabeth McCloud was born to Harmon and Laura McCloud.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><span style="font-size:26px;">Betty attended Rosenwald High School and later attended a technical College. She was employed by West Point Stevens for many years until her retirement.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><span style="font-size:26px;">Betty was a firm woman but she loved her family hard.&nbsp; Phrases that she said to us all that we will always remember and cherish for years to come:&nbsp; Stop slamming that door, eat all the meat off them bones, don&rsquo;t throw that away, I&rsquo;m weak, Joe you better get out that tree trying to get them pecans before you fall, and her favorite gimmie some of them_____??? If you know Betty you can all fill in the blank.&nbsp; She loved her family and loved bringing them together.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><span style="font-size:26px;">On July 9, 2021 she received her heavenly wings to join her mother, father, brothers and sisters in Heaven.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><span style="font-size:26px;">She is preceded in death by her parent:Harmon and Laura McCloud; four brothers: Oneal, Norman, Olin, and Coma McCloud; six sisters: Malissie Ross, Calatha Crews, Naomi Williams, Jerlene Spann,&nbsp; Daisy Smith, and Naydine Nelson.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><span style="font-size:26px;">She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters: LaVonda McCloud, and Veronica (Michael) Thompson; five grandchildren: Zamaria , Parisia, and Robert Fields Jr, Destinee and MaKaila Thompson, and six great grands: Quincey and Kaiden Provens, Jordan and Trevin Fields, Zy&rsquo;Lia Gilbert, and Michael Thompson Jr.; one brother Joel (Mary) McCloud Sr.; three special nephews: Ralph (Rose) Rodgers, Eddie Ray (Pam) Spann, and Walter (Patricia) Spann; two special friends: Mrs. Ola Mae Moore and Cynthia Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Ms. Betty Elizabeth McCloud, age 78 of Newville, AL, visitation will be held one hour prior the graveside service on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 12:00 PM at the Center Baptist Church Cemetery in Newville, AL.

On May 4, 1943, Betty Elizabeth McCloud was born to Harmon and Laura McCloud.

Betty attended Rosenwald High School and later attended a technical College. She was employed by West Point Stevens for many years until her retirement.
