<p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Denise Ann Brown, age 58, of Huron, SD, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Avera De Smet Memorial Hospital.&nbsp; Memorial visitation services will be at 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in De Smet, SD.&nbsp;</span></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Denise was born on July 22, 1962, in Huron, SD, to Dennis and Sue (Fahey) Brown.&nbsp; She attended Aberdeen Central High School and graduated in 1980.&nbsp; She went on to further her education at NDSSS in Wahpeton, ND and WITCC in Sioux City, IA.&nbsp;</span></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Denise worked at the Brookings County Sheriff&rsquo;s Office for ten years and Daktronics Inc. for nine years. &nbsp;In her free-time she enjoyed going to concerts (especially &ldquo;her boys&rdquo; Old Dominion), traveling, and socializing with her friends.&nbsp;</span></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Denise is survived by her daughter, Nikki Brown of Denver, CO; her mother, Sue Brown of Huron, SD; her father, Dennis (Melanie) Brown of Sioux Falls, SD; her brother, Jeff Brown of Scotts Valley, CA; half-brother Jeremy (Brooke) Brown of Sioux Falls, SD; half-sister Pamela (Mike) Flynn of Omaha, NE; and many nieces and nephews.</span></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Denise is preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl and Irene Brown, and Gene and Florence Fahey; her uncles, Terrill, Don, and Robert Brown; and her aunts, Barb Schinderling and Alice Rasmussen.</span></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>

Denise was so full of life and laughter. I enjoyed working with her at the Sheriffs Department. Her laugh and her smile are unforgettable. My deepest sympathy to the family.
