Denise Ann Brown, age 58, of Huron, SD, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Avera De Smet Memorial Hospital.  Memorial visitation services will be at 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in De Smet, SD. 

 

Denise was born on July 22, 1962, in Huron, SD, to Dennis and Sue (Fahey) Brown.  She attended Aberdeen Central High School and graduated in 1980.  She went on to further her education at NDSSS in Wahpeton, ND and WITCC in Sioux City, IA. 

 

Denise worked at the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office for ten years and Daktronics Inc. for nine years.  In her free-time she enjoyed going to concerts (especially “her boys” Old Dominion), traveling, and socializing with her friends. 

 

Denise is survived by her daughter, Nikki Brown of Denver, CO; her mother, Sue Brown of Huron, SD; her father, Dennis (Melanie) Brown of Sioux Falls, SD; her brother, Jeff Brown of Scotts Valley, CA; half-brother Jeremy (Brooke) Brown of Sioux Falls, SD; half-sister Pamela (Mike) Flynn of Omaha, NE; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Denise is preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl and Irene Brown, and Gene and Florence Fahey; her uncles, Terrill, Don, and Robert Brown; and her aunts, Barb Schinderling and Alice Rasmussen.
