Lahoma Brown

Lahoma Eileen Brown, 81, of Accoville, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 8, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 28, 1939, at Stollings, a daughter of the late Cecil Johnson and Mary Logan Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life General Marion Brown; two grandchildren Terri Lea Walls and Joshua Allan Walls, two sisters Wilma Jean “Snooky” Johnson and Linda Leigh Johnson Wells. Lahoma was a loving mother to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild. She was saved in 1983 at Lyburn FWB Church where she faithfully served the Lord the rest of her days. She loved singing in the choir and praising the Lord. She also loved to take care of her flowers and her baby Jenny. Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters Carol Ann (Jackie) Ellison of Lyburn, WV, Dianna Lynn (Richard) Glaw of Glen Daniel, and Juanita Eileen (John) Cooper of Lyburn, WV; three sons Marion Edward(Eddie) wife Missy of King George, VA, Gary Michael (Jeanie) Brown of Amherstdale, WV and Jody Lee (Melissa) Brown of Accoville, WV; 15 grandchildren: Candy (Mike), Toni(Mark), Jack(Latasha), Shawn(Willie), Sandy(Bill), Dustin(Brittany), Brian, Tiffany(Colten), Jessica(Chester), Sierra, Christian, Jacob(Courtney) and Jada(Cameran); 23 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5-6pm for family and 6-9pm for friends and family Monday, July 12, 2021, at Lyburn FWB Church with Rev. Cecil Bartram officiating. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Lyburn FWB Church. Friends and family may gather one hour prior to services at the church also, She will be lovingly laid to rest in the Brown Cemetery at Madison Creek, WV. Pallbearers will be family members.
