Duane R. Hackett, 84, of Ashland, passed away, Thursday, July 8, 2021, in the Good Shepherd in Ashland. <br><br>Duane was born on June 22, 1937, in Ashland, to the late Wade and Dorthy (nee Coutt) Hackett.<br><br>He married the former Phyllis Garn on July 1, 1967, they were married for 54 years.<br><br>Duane was a lifetime member of The Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #2178. He loved classic cars, he enjoyed rebuilding them and showing them. He liked watching the Cleveland Browns and Country Western Shows on TV. He loved listening to Elvis Presley, and spending time with his grandchildren.<br><br>In addition to his wife Phyllis, Duane is survived by daughters; Robin (Mark) DeMatos of Galion, Janeen (Robert) Wert of Mt. Gilead, and Lori (Rick) Mullins of Ashland, a son; Dennis (Mary Anne) Hackett of St. Petersburg, Florida, ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.<br><br>Duane is preceded in death by his parents, and two sons; Mark and Michael Hackett.<br><br>Graveside Services will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, Ohio, with Pastor Richard Peterson officiating. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. <br><br>Online Condolences may be shared at denbowfh.com<br><br>Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home is honored to be handing the arrangements.June 22, 1937 - July 8, 202106/22/193707/08/2021
