Marco Deleon "Nook" Fox

Marco Deleon “Nook” Fox of Lenoir passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Caldwell UNC Health Care, Lenoir. Born June 2, 1970 in Caldwell County, he was the son of the late Margo Diane Fox, and Melvin Parker Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruby and George Fox. He was a member of Bushtown Mennonite Brethren Church, Lenoir. Survivors include his daughters Kebre’ Anna S. Fox, Kaelin A. Bowman and husband Sherod, and Aliyah Fox; son, Kolby D. Fox; aunts, Bertha Tugman and Valerie Fox; brothers, Keith Graham, Markus Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at The Life Center with Pastor Dr. Terry Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Bushtown Cemetery, Lenoir. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of his Aunt Bertha Tugman. Serving as pallbearers will be Coy Fox, Albert Felder, Joey Grey, Dean Harris, Sherod Cherry. Flower girls will be Takyra Felder, Jory Fox, Shante Grey. Memorials may be made to Fresenius Kidney Care, 1208 Hickory Blvd SW, Lenoir, NC 28645. Bass-Smith Granite is serving the family of Marco Deleon “Nook” Fox. So sorry to hear of Nook’s passing. As an older cousin, I used to watch him, Robbie and Ron when we were all there during the summers. He was funny and always made me laugh. Rest In Peace.

Good Morning, I’m deeply hurt by the loss Nook as a kid we played together almost everyday in Bushtown. I would wake up in the morning have breakfast with Grandad in then go over to Ruby and hang out with Nook for the day. R.I.P. my brother you will be missed.

So sorry for your loss I grew up in bushtown and my kids played with Nook. We would see him on the fish bank and he would be happy as could be. He always had a smile on his face RIP my brother.
