Richard Todd Haberstroh Obituary

Richard Todd Haberstroh, 67 of Holmdel (previously of Hazlet) passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021. 

He was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 10, 1954 and raised in Hazlet, NJ. 

He was affectionately known as "Todd" by his siblings and friends in New Jersey, "Rich" by his friends in New York, "Uncle Ricky Todd", "Ricardo", "G-pop" and "Pops" by countless other loved ones. 

Richard was a longtime banker for BNY Mellon in New York.

His wife Claudia recounts how "Todd" loved his grandchildren, was funny, playful, understanding, kind, never angry, a joker and how he had several friends from many different chapters of his life. 

He is predeceased by his mother Elizabeth (LeVan) Haberstroh and a sister-in-law Pamela Haberstroh. 

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Claudia (Sola) Haberstroh; his father Edward Haberstroh of Williamsburg, VA; his loving children Janise Stout and her husband Bob of Long Branch, Christina Moylan and her husband Keith of Hazlet and Craig Haberstroh of Holmdel; loving grandchildren Braeden, Conor, and Abigail Stout and Reese and Rory Moylan, along with several nieces and nephews. 

He also leaves behind siblings Christine DeYoung and her husband Jay, Ned Haberstroh and his wife Kathy, Kitty Freed and her husband Larry and Steven Haberstroh.

Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Richard on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 2pm until 4 and again from 7pm until 9 at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735 and again on Wednesday July 14, 2021 at 10AM at the funeral home for a funeral service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery of Keyport.
