Mrs. Shirley McClain Lynn, age 84 of Mableton, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11:00am at Ararat Church, formerly Covenant United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Lynn was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church and later Covenant United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, a creator of beauty, a faithful servant to her church, and dearly loved entertaining friends and family in her home. Mrs. Lynn was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Major and her granddaughter Whitney Carter. Surviving are her husband Leonard Lynn, daughters Lisa (Tony) Harris of Dallas, Lori (Mark) Chapman of Kennesaw, Kristi (Derek) VanNostran of Atlanta, sisters Julia (Bill) Mauldin of Smyrna, Modree Smith of Marietta, Joyce Johnson of Smyrna, brother Steve (Vicki) McClain of Atlanta, grandchildren Joel Carter, Luke Harris, Josh (Rachel) Chapman, Kelsey (Ben) Beasley, Hunter (Kate) Chapman, Zoe VanNostran and Bella VanNostran, great grandchildren Jackson, Levi, and Rosalie Chapman, Haven, Hudson and Hallie Beasley, Leo Chapman. The family will receive friends from 10:00am on Monday, July 12, 2021 at the church.
