Beth A. Closson

     Beth A. Closson, 65, of Martinsburg, passed away Thursday morning, July 8, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, following complications from COVID-19.

     She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Russell W. and Helen A. (Brumbaugh) Johnson.  On February 8, 1974 she married C. Eric Closson at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Roaring Spring.

     Surviving are her beloved husband of 47 years; a daughter, Emily M. Claycomb (Shawn) of Woodbury; a son, Shawn E. Closson (Tekyra) of Martinsburg; three grandchildren; Brayden Claycomb, Ellayna Closson and Adisen Closson; a brother, Robert S. Johnson (Cindy) of Martinsburg; and a sister, Karen S. Brock (Terry) of Fancy Gap, VA.

     Beth was a 1973 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Beth enjoyed watching and feeding birds. Some of her favorites were Blue Birds, Orioles and Hummingbirds.  She also loved vacationing at the beach and flower gardening, planting many heirloom varieties around their home.

     Friends will be received from 2-5pm, Sunday, July 11, 2021 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg and from 10am until the 11am funeral service, Monday, July 12, 2021 at the funeral home, Pastor David Crumrine officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
