Mary Conner Obituary

Mary (Miller) Conner, age 77, passed away on July 8, 2021. She was born December 13, 1943 in Poseyville, Indiana to Laverne and Violet (Christmas) Miller. She was the proud mother of two children; DuWayne (Dianna) Johnson and Machelle (Brian) McGennis. She had one grandson, Dillen Johnson, who was her pride and joy. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Conner; her mother, Violet; her father, Laverne; her brothers: Johnny Earl, Charlie, and Leslie; her sisters Linda Creed and Debbie Behnke. Survivors include: her brothers, Jack (Linda) Miller, Dan (Nancy) Miller; sister, Patty (Charlie) Kinney; brother-in-Iaws Garry Creed and Robin Behnke. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and three step-children. Mary was a faithful member of UFCC Church in Elberfeld, Indiana. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, aunt, friend, and neighbor. She enjoyed watching and feeding her hummingbirds on her back porch, planting beautiful flowers, riding horses, taking pride in her home, and spending quality time with her family. She and her husband loved to ride horses, train and raise bird dogs, quail hunt, and shoot trap. Mary was a member of Eastern Star and played on one of the first women's softball leagues in Boonville. She fought a difficult battle with Alzheimer's, but the care she received from Walnut Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Evansville was wonderful. Mary will be missed deeply by those who knew and loved her. Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021 at BRADLEY’S COLONIAL CHAPEL, 1005 E. Main St. Boonville, IN.
