<p>Rodney Andrew Blum, age 72, of Fruita Colorado passed away peacefully in his home. surrounded by loved ones, on July 8, 2021, after a long and very strong battle against cancer.&nbsp;</p> <p>Mr. Blum was born on February 21, 1949, A.D. in Omaha Nebraska. He was the son of George Andrew Blum and Margaret Ruth Lawson. He was the brother of FIVE sisters, Arletta, Dorothy, Kathy, Linda and Nola.&nbsp;</p> <p>He graduated from Fruita Monument High School in 1967. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.&nbsp;</p> <p>Rodney built a business as a general contractor. His Love for building&nbsp;&nbsp;began&nbsp;at a young age and he proudly started &quot;Rodney A Blum Contracting&quot; as a young man. He was a very successful builder/remodeler for many years to follow .</p> <p>He enjoyed a great Thanksgiving gathering, camping, traveling, hiking, riding his Harley and most of all making memories with the ones he loved. &nbsp;</p> <p>He will be remembered by most for his colorful personality, strong voice and outspoken opinions.&nbsp;</p> <p>Rodney is survived by his daughter Michelle J Moore of Loma, his sons Victor A Blum and Eric A Blum of Fruita and life partner Phyllis Gisler of Fruita.&nbsp;</p> <p>He was a very proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.&nbsp;</p> <p>He will be greatly missed by many!&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Memorial services will be held on July 30th at 10:00 AM at Browns Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 904 North 7th St Grand Junction Colorado</strong></p>
