Esther M. (Wenger) Steiner, age 101, was born to the late Samuel and Emma (Rudy) Wenger on November 29, 1919, and passed away peacefully on July 8, 2021. She married Cleophas N. Steiner on February 4, 1940, who preceded her in death in 1977. She resided her entire life in the Dalton area and was a member of East Union Mennonite Church. Surviving are five daughters, Eunice Kreider of Switzerland, Edith (Clarence G.) Horst of KY, Mary Miller of Dalton, Ellen Bontrager of Uniontown, and Elsie (Charles) Eberly of Orrville; a son, Vernon (Carol) Steiner of NE. She had 25 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Chester Mennonite Church Cemetery in Wooster, with Pastors Lynn Wenger and Matt Eberly officiating.
